About this project
An 1880 Grade II listed building originally constructed as The Cobden Working Men’s Club was first approached by AS Studio in 2011 to secure consent for converting it into 2 apartments and 1 townhouse—with assistance from RPS Planning and Development Ltd. Although that consent was granted, the client later sold the building with the unexpired consent intact. In 2012, the new owner appointed AS Studio for a completely different scheme to convert the club into a single-family dwelling. Our role encompassed obtaining listed building consent (again with RPS Planning and Development Ltd), producing all planning, tender, construction, and detail drawings, as well as providing site supervision and interior design services until full completion.
